NEW YORK Fera Pharmaceuticals has launched a treatment for bacterial infections of the eye, the generic drug maker announced Tuesday.
Fera said it had begun shipping erythromycin ophthalmic ointment in 1-g doses and would soon have the 3.5-g tube size available.
“Fera has made the completion of erythromycin 1-g manufacturing transfer a priority, responding to the market shortage,” Fera president Frank DellaFera said. “We are genuinely pleased to be able to help hospitals provide the standard of care they demand.”
