Rite Aid's same-store sales decreased by 1.5% in May as the shift to generic drugs continued to offset front-end comps, the retail pharmacy chain said.
A shift in the New Year's holiday calendar and the introduction of new generic drugs contributed to a decrease in same-store sales for the month of December at Rite Aid, the retail pharmacy chain said.
Rite Aid same-store sales increased by 3.1% in February, including a 1.9% increase in front-end comps and a 3.7% increase in pharmacy comps, the company said Thursday.
