In support of its December launch of the pseudoehedrine product Nexafed, Acura Pharmaceuticals recently kicked off a national e-mail campaign to help drive pharmacists to the Nexafed website with content specifically designed for the pharmacist audience, including infographics, graphic representations of study data and a behind-the-scenes look at Nexafed's abuse-deterrent technology.

The American Pharmacists Association on Monday released its 2010 Pharmacy Today over-the-counter product survey and found that 92% of pharmacists walk a patient to the OTC section to assist with a product selection, noting that the average patient consult takes only three minutes of the patient's time.

McNeil issues recall at wholesaler level

In consultation with the Food and Drug Administration, McNeil Consumer Healthcare on Friday voluntarily recalled certain lots of Tylenol 8 Hour, Tylenol Arthritis Pain and Tylenol upper respiratory products, as well as certain lots of Benadryl, Sudafed PE and Sinutab products at the wholesale level.
