    A&D Medical Premium + Wide Base weight scale debuts

    The A&D Medical Premium + Wide Base weight scale is designed for individuals that are elderly, obese, pregnant or have limited mobility or balance issues.

    It is designed for safety with an extra wide base to prevent tipping and supports up to 550 pounds, the company said.

    An optional scale tray ensuring stability and accuracy on uneven surfaces like carpet is available.

    Voltaren helps caregivers recognize their value

    Today, more than 50 million people in the United States provide unpaid care for loved ones of various conditions and abilities. But many of these people don’t recognize themselves as caregivers or their impact on their loved ones’ lives.

    Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel is on a mission to help unpaid family caregivers recognize their value and renew their own journey of physical health.

    To do this, Voltaren conducted an "Acts of Care" study with real-life caregivers on how they perceived their value—before and after hearing from their loved one. Utilizing an EMOTIV EPOCX EEG headset that measured brain responses in real-time, caregivers began to recognize their impact after hearing from the loved one they provide for. In fact, the brain mapping showed caregivers saw up to a 36% increase in their overall wellbeing after hearing from their loved one.

    Cheetos intros Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Smoky Ghost Pepper Puffs

    Cheetos is turning up the heat. 

    The brand is introducing a hotter-than-ever snack that rivals the heat index of other Flamin’ Hot Cheetos with the added burn, smoky flavor, and hint of sweetness that can only come from one of the world’s spiciest peppers.

    The company said the smoky-flavored Cheetos Puffs feature a slow-building heat and would take snackers by surprise.

    Kit Kat pays homage to summer flavors with Churro candy bar

    A new Kit Kat flavor is making waves this summer for a limited time. 

    The Churro flavor is new from the Hershey, Pa.-based company, which features a buttery churro-flavored creme with sugar mixed between wafers. 

    “We love seeing fan’s responses to our limited-edition Kit Kat flavors—especially one as universally loved as churros,” said Alex Herzog, associate Kit Kat brand manager. “We hope that every bite of the buttery, churro flavor and familiar crispy crunch of our wafers unlocks memories of the delightful experience of enjoying freshly baked churros from the boardwalk stand, amusement park, or the local fair.”

    Consumers can find Kit Kat Churro available for purchase on June 6 in standard, king and snack sizes.

    Nature Valley adds savory twist to Nut Crunch bars

    Nature Valley is adding a savory twist to its Nut Crunch line of bars.

    Available in three flavors — everything bagel, white cheddar and smoky BBQ — the Savory Nut Crunch line is a departure from its classic oats ‘n honey bars, the company said.

    “Nature Valley is known for introducing the first mainstream granola bar to consumers, and since 1975 we’ve continued to innovate and find new ways to shake up the bars aisle,” said Ray Joncas, vice president and business unit director of bars at General Mills. “Snacking fans now have the best of both worlds with our new Savory Nut Crunch Bars as a companion to our traditional whole grain oat granola bars.”

    Available in a grab-and-go convenience in a one-bar pack, it uses a proprietary binding process that removes the need for sugar binders to keep them intact, the company said. 

    “Our new technology has enabled us to solve a consumer need for convenient snacks that don't require the use of syrups and sugars to bind the bars together,” said Ali Shaikh, senior brand manager of bars innovation at General Mills. “This has unlocked an opportunity for us to craft Nature Valley snack bars with 2g of sugar in surprisingly savory flavors, delivering on a whole new set of cravings.”

    Nature Valley Savory Nut Crunch bars are available for purchase at grocery stores nationwide in a 5-ct. box that retails for $4.79.
