AmLactin touts its stocking-stuffer attributes
MAPLE GROVE, Minn. — AmLactin is positioning its moisturizing body lotion as the perfect stocking stuffer for the holiday season.
AmLactin, an Upsher-Smith brand, contains lactic acid, a naturally occurring humectant that attracts water molecules to the skin to keep it hydrated. The lotion gently exfoliates dead skin cells to help return dry skin to its healthy, natural state. It retails at less than $20.
"Cold weather strips your skin of its natural oils. A serious moisturizer containing lactic acid, such as AmLactin, helps skin lock in and retain moisture, providing that intense hydration you need during harsh winter months," said Alan Fleischer, professor and chair of the department of dermatology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
