The Estee Lauder Cos. announces expansion of leadership roles
NEW YORK — The Estée Lauder Cos. on Thursday stated that Jane Lauder and Peter Lichtenthal will each assume additional responsibilities as part of the company’s previously announced strategic organizational redesign.
Lauder, global president and GM of the Origins and Ojon brands, will now add Darphin to her brand leadership responsibilities. Lauder will continue to report to Lynne Greene, who takes on her new role as group president of Clinique, Origins, Ojon, Aveda and Darphin on Jan. 1. Greene will remain president of the Clinique brand.
Lichtenthal will now also oversee Smashbox. At Smashbox, Lichtenthal will drive integration, further linking the brand with the company’s global marketing and commercial capabilities. Lichtenthal will now report to John Demsey, group president of Estée Lauder, M•A•C, Tom Ford Beauty, Prescriptives, Bobbi Brown, La Mer, Jo Malone and Smashbox. Demsey will add Bumble and bumble to his responsibilities on Jan. 1.
