Polcer named evp of Estee Lauder's global supply chain
NEW YORK The Estee Lauder Cos. has named former Unilever executive Gregory Polcer as executive vice president of global supply chain, overseeing the company’s end-to-end supply chain that includes such areas as procurement, manufacturing, quality assurance and logistics operations.
In his new role, Polcer will report to president and chief operating officer Fabrizio Freda. He succeeds Malcolm Bond, who is retiring. Bond will work closely with Polcer in the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.
Polcer most recently served as senior vice president of supply chain at Unilever. During his tenure at Unilever, Polcer led the development of a corporate-wide initiative for defining the processes as well as the project plan to create a center-led procurement capability for the company. Before that, Polcer worked with Playtex and J.C. Penney in various business roles.
