2/10/2017

NEW YORK — Revlon on Friday announced a new addition to its upper leadership. The company has hired Linda Wells to be its chief creative officer, overseeing the look and feel of the company’s brands — from advertising and product innovation to packaging, digital, social presence and point of sale. She will report to Revlon president and CEO Fabian Garcia, officially joining the company Feb. 13.

“As we continue to strengthen our portfolio of iconic brands, Linda’s extensive knowledge of the beauty industry and her experience assessing and reporting on the global beauty sector will elevate the prestige, image and execution of our brands,” Garcia said. “She will also be integral to ensuring the glamour, sophistication and innovativeness that are original to both Revlon and Elizabeth Arden brands’ iconic heritage.”

Wells is the founding editor in chief of Allure magazine, allure.com and the magazine’s video channel. In her 25 years at the helm of Allure, she created the Allure Best of Beauty Awards, the Best of Beauty seal and the Allure Beauty Box subscription service. She joins Revlon from New York Magazine’s The Cut, where she was contributing beauty editor, and “The Linda Wells Report,” where she was a producer for the beauty magazine within Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan and Town & Country.
