BJ’s Wholesale Club announced that it has made a $30,000 donation to fund classroom projects listed by teachers in the Escambia and Santa Rosa counties on DonorsChoose through its Charitable Foundation.

“At BJ’s, we’re proud to support organizations like DonorsChoose that help our communities meet their essential needs,” Kirk Saville, executive director, BJ’s Charitable Foundation said. “We’re excited to celebrate our arrival to Pensacola with this $30,000 donation to the teachers and students of Escambia and Santa Rosa counties and we look forward to opening our doors to the community later this winter.”

Through the donation, the Westborough, Mass.-based retailer will fulfill 55 projects on DonorsChoose and impact more than 5,000 students in the Pensacola metro area.

Projects funded include essential school supplies, flexible seating options and interactive literacy kits, the company said.
