BJ’s Wholesale Club is looking to improve the usability on its mobile app.

Changes users will see include everything from new features to improved usability and updated design, the Westborough, Mass.-based retailer said.

“Our members love the BJ’s app, and we’re excited to make it even more convenient to get unbeatable value how and when members want,’ Rafeh Masood, the senior vice president and Chief Digital Officer at BJ’s Wholesale Club, said. “We’re making it easier for members to see the value of their BJ’s membership and bringing more excitement to the wholesale club shopping experience.”

Included in the update is a ‘My BJ’s’ area, which will give members the chance to see the value of their membership, showcase their yearly savings, local BJ’s gas price, gas savings earned and previous orders.

In addition, it will also show members of the My BJ’s Perks Program their total awards available as well as how much more they will need to spend to reach their next award, the company said.

The ‘My BJ’s’ area of the app also will house the Challenge gamification feature, which offers members experiences and challenges for a chance to win incentives. The challenges look to help members experience everything the retailer has to offer and will be introduced periodically.

Last but certainly not least, the final major update to the app is its redesign, which looks to help members navigate it more easily. Included in the redesign is the addition of shoppable recipes, checking in on to pick up an online order, a digital version of their card and digital coupons, the company said.
