Numerous studies have shown prescription copayments are a major incentive to drug adherence. In some cases, patients never fill prescriptions or ration medicine or doses to save money.

“Adding these prescriptions to a copay plan makes Camber’s products very attractive to patients and retailers alike. With many prescription drug insurance plans, the patient could have little-to-no copayment,” Ostaficiuk added.  “We hope this brings financial relief to more patients and encourages them follow their healthcare provider’s advice.”

Deferasirox is used to treat iron overload caused by blood transfusions in adults and children at least aged 2 years old.
