Canada Dry expands ginger ale offerings

Canada Dry is refreshing its line of classic ginger ale by adding a new flavor to its portfolio. The Canada Dry Ginger Ale and Lemonade is the latest offering from the Dr Pepper Snapple Group brand, and it contains classic ginger ale with a splash of lemonade. The Plano, Texas-based brand’s launch follows more than a decade of growing sales.

“Canada Dry has seen 11 years of consecutive growth, which is a testament to our consumer loyalty and ability to develop great tasting flavor combinations, taste-tested and approved by our consumers," Dave Falk, vice president of marketing for Canada Dry, said.

The brand will be promoting the launch with an ad campaign that will feature a new character called Ginger Man. This guru, which is to be played by Cullen Moss, is on a mission to give consumers guidance on how to taste nirvana, the company said. Ginger Man will accompany an integrated campaign consisting of national television commercials, audio streaming program advertising and an extension across social, digital and media channels.

“Relaxing with a Canada Dry has always been part of its heritage,” Doris Chung, senior vice president and creative director at Deutsch, said. “With the launch of its new product, ginger ale and lemonade, we were able to bring this concept to life through Ginger Man. We’re excited to debut this modern guru and share the secrets of relaxation with the world.”

Canada Dry Ginger Ale and Lemonade is now available for purchase at retailers nationwide.
