Diet Pepsi debuts new ad starring Sofia Vergara

PURCHASE, N.Y. — Diet Pepsi is debuting a new television commercial during the broadcast of the 69th annual Golden Globes awards show on Sunday.

The new campaign, "Nothing Refreshes Like a Diet Pepsi," features "Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara, who uses her wit and charm to dance her way past a cast of suitors to get a can of Diet Pepsi. In addition to the TV spot, the campaign also will be supported by new print, digital and out-of-home ads.

"Our consumers really connect with Sofia Vergara, and they enjoyed last year's spot with David Beckham so much that we wanted to build on the storyline. The great lengths our star will go to get a refreshing Diet Pepsi brings our message to light in a fun, uplifting way," Pepsi Beverages senior director Amy Wirtanen said.
