Simply Beverages go the light route

Chilled juice brand, Simply Beverages is expanding its portfolio with the introduction of new light flavors of its classic beverages that contain less sugar and calories.

The new Simply Light drinks contain the taste of orange juice or lemonade consumers have come to associate the brand with, along with simple, non-GMO ingredients, the company said.

“Today’s consumers want a variety of beverage options that help them maintain a well-rounded, healthy lifestyle without sacrificing taste — which is why Simply is a leader in the category,” Kelly Marx, Simply Beverage brand director, said. “Simply Light allows everyone to enjoy the delicious Simply taste, with the benefit of less sugar and fewer calories in Simply Light Orange and Simply Light Lemonade.”

Available nationwide, the launch will come in four flavors:

  • Simply Light Orange Pulp Free, which is made with pure squeezed, gently pasteurized orange juice and contains 50% less sugar and calories;

  • Simply Light Orange with Calcium and Vitamin D, which contains 50% less sugar and calories, calcium, vitamin D and is made with pure squeezed, gently pasteurized orange juice;

  • Simply Light Lemonade, which contains 75% less sugar and calories; and

  • Simply Light Lemonade with Raspberry, which contains raspberry puree and 75% less sugar and calories than its other lemonade beverages.


The Apopka, Fla.-based company will launch a marketing campaign to support the product’s launch that includes broadcast, digital platforms, eCommerce, and in-store ads, with the brand’s “The Best Things In Life are Made Simply,” slogan.

All four of the beverages are now available via Amazon Fresh or local grocers in 52 fl.-oz. multi-serve carafes. The light orange juice pulp free and light lemonade also come in single-serve 11.5 fl.-oz. bottles.
