The company noted that both styles arrive with three sizes for a personalized, secure fit. The modular design of the earplugs also paves the way for future expansion, with additional ear-tip style packs currently in development.

At a price point of under $18, Vurse enters the earplug category as an affordable alternative to competing brands currently retailing at $34.99, the company noted.

Another offering from Cirrus Healthcare Products is The EarPlanes+ app, which measures cabin air pressure in real-time during a flight and sends a notification when EarPlanes earplugs should be worn to prevent ear pain.

EarPlanes earplugs are designed to help flyers prevent ear pain and popping due to the rapid air pressure changes in-flight. The EarPlanes+ app completely takes the guesswork out of when the earplugs need to be worn, the company said.

EarPlanes+ utilizes the air pressure sensor (barometer) built-in to consumers' smartphones and the app will send a push notification when air pressure becomes unstable (even if consumers are using other apps), to communicate whether to use your EarPlanes earplugs. The app can work without signal on Airplane Mode.
