Dr. Reddy's launches pre-filled naloxone syringes
Dr. Reddy’s has announced its first-to-market launch of naloxone hydrochloride injection in a dosage strength of 2 mg/2 mL (1 mg/mL). It is available in a 2 mL single-dose prefilled syringe.
The product is the generic of Adapt Pharma’s Narcan (naloxone hydrochloride) injection.
“We are pleased to bring our second product to market that has been designated as a Competitive Generic Therapy by the FDA. With a CGT designation, we have 180-day CGT exclusivity to market this product,” said Marc Kikuchi, CEO, Dr. Reddy’s North America Generics.
Naloxone hydrochloride injection had a market value of approximately $31 million for the most recent 12 months ending in January 2020, according to IQVIA.
