  • 'Unstoppable' hauls its way to Blu-ray, DVD

    LOS ANGELES — The tale of two courageous men that look to stop a half-mile-long freight train from destroying a city is barreling its way to Blu-ray and DVD, thanks to Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

    "Unstoppable," an action-packed thriller starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pine, will be available Feb. 15. Both formats include several bonus features, including director commentary and script development.

    "Unstoppable" on Blu-ray will carry a suggested retail price of $39.99 and will be available on DVD for an SRP of $29.98.

  • Wubbzy celebrates Easter in 'egg-cellent' DVD

    BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Prepare for an "egg-citing" Easter adventure from Nick Jr.'s popular animated series.

    "Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!" will be featured in a brand-new, special seasonal DVD, "Wubbzy's Egg-cellent Easter." The latest DVD release from Anchor Bay Entertainment tells the story of Wubbzy and his pals celebrating the first day of spring with a game of kickity-kickball and discovering new ways to decorate eggs for the annual Easter egg hunt.

  • Anchor Bay Entertainment to release 'Chuggers to the Rescue'

    NEW YORK — More "Chuggington" adventures from Anchor Bay Entertainment are coming to DVD this spring.

    "Chuggers to the Rescue," the latest "Chuggington" installment, will hit retail on April 5. In this six-episode DVD, everyone’s favorite trainee trio is set to save the day and teach preschoolers gentle lessons about emergency preparedness and responsibility.

  • Tide Loads of Hope partners with American Red Cross

    CINCINNATI — Tide announced that its mobile laundry program has developed a partnership with the American Red Cross to further expand its disaster relief efforts.

    Each year, Tide Loads of Hope will donate funds to support Red Cross global disaster relief efforts to assist in places where Tide Loads of Hope might not otherwise be able to help, Tide said. In the event of a disaster within the United States, the Red Cross will offer the Tide Loads of Hope team its on-the-ground, expert counsel to help the team provide the most effective relief response.

  • Puffs spokeswoman educates moms, kids on cough-cold-flu prevention

    NEW YORK — Puffs, a Procter & Gamble brand, recently brought spokeswoman Tanya Remer Altmann to share tips with mommy bloggers and their children on healthy winter habits.

    Altmann, a UCLA-trained pediatrician, visited New York City indoor child play space Apple Seeds to give out samples of Puffs tissues and to educate children on good hand-washing habits, best tissues to use for those with sore and chapped noses and ways to avoid coughs, colds and flu during the winter.

    NEW YORK — Bclean Enterprises' Prean is hitting retail this winter.

    Prean is a spray mist that transforms traditional toilet paper into a moist, cleansing wipe that won't dry out. The dye-free, alcohol-free and dermatologist-tested formulation is enhanced with natural ingredients, including vitamin E, jojoba, wheat germ, sweet almond and tea tree oil.

    Prean comes in a convenient and discreet 0.34-fl.-oz. size and will be available in Duane Reade stores in late January.

  • Report: Sara Lee forges ahead with splitting business

    DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. — One week after announcing that it would sell off its shoe care business to SC Johnson, Sara Lee is moving ahead with plans to split its business into two units.

    According to published reports, Sara Lee will divide its meat and coffee businesses into two separate companies. In addition to its recent transaction with SC Johnson, Sara Lee has been streamlining its business by selling off its beauty and laundry detergent portfolios to Unilever for $1.6 billion. The deal closed last month.
