Teva introduces generic Albenza
Teva Pharmaceuticals is launching albendazole tablets.
The product, which is the generic of GlaxoSmithKline’s Albenza tablets, is available in a dosage strength of 200 mg, in bottles of two tablets.
Albendazole is an anthelmintic, or anti- worm medication. It prevents newly hatched insect larvae (worms) from growing or multiplying in your body. It is used to treat certain infections caused by worms such as pork tapeworm and dog tapeworm.
