CINCINNATI — Kroger on Monday was honored by the Cincinnati Business Courier as a 2017 Healthiest Employer.  The award recognizes the company for its commitment to the health and wellness of its more than 443,000 associates.

CINCINNATI, Ohio — Kroger has expanded the role of The Little Clinic president Colleen Lindholz, naming her president of its pharmacy division Monday. Lindholz, who has led The Little Clinic since 2015, takes over pharmacy duties from Philecia Avery, who Kroger said resigned the company earlier this month to pursue other interests.

CINCINNATI — Kroger on Tuesday announced that Angel Colón has been promoted to senior director of diversity. He has been serving as the company's director of multicultural development for merchandising since 2008.

Colón succeeds Rueben Shaffer, who retired at the end of March, as Kroger's head of diversity and also assumes the responsibilities for the company's strong supplier diversity program.

CINCINNATI — This April, in honor of Earth Month, Kroger will promote a program involving events and customer engagement to help highlight easy, earth-friendly and sustainable living practices, the grocer announced Friday.  

Giant supermarket operator Kroger views health and wellness as an area for long-term investment, a point underscored by its purchase last year of specialty pharmacy ModernHEALTH. Even as it faces headwinds related to food deflation, Kroger is keeping an eye on growth opportunities in its expansive market area, which includes 35 states and the District of Columbia.
