NACDS 2025 Live: 4 Minutes with Hy-Vee's Angie Nelson

At the 2025 NACDS Annual meeting, DSN sat down for a conversation with Angie Nelson, senior vice president of pharmacy at Hy-Vee, to get an update on the retailer's co-ownership Hy-Vee Health Exemplar Care as of January 2024.

The clinics allow employer groups to provide their employees access to unlimited primary and urgent care through memberships for a fixed monthly fee or layer the membership with a major medical health plan.

Nelson talked about the clinics potential impact, especially in rural areas, and she talked about the retailer's history of moving fast, innovating and trying new approaches to patient-facing efforts, such as clinics, mobile units and health events.
