NACDS recognizes Association Trends 2021 Association CFO of the year

The National Association of Chain Drug Stores has a reason to celebrate.

Dave Fitzsimmons, senior vice president of finance and administration at NACDS, is being honored as the Association Trends 2021 Association CFO of the year.

Each year, the Nonprofit CFO of the Year Awards honor the critical leadership role that CFOs play in keeping nonprofit organizations moving forward. Honorees for this year will be recognized at a luncheon taking place on Nov. 3 in Washington, D.C., at the Capital Hilton.

We are pleased that Dave’s considerable talents are being recognized by the broader association community.”

The annual event recognizes and honors the contributions of nonprofit financial executives who demonstrate a vision for operational excellence, innovation in finance and management and exceptional leadership and commitment to improving accountability and financial reporting.

Fitzsimmons has been with NACDS for 25 years, starting as accounting manager and working his way up to be NACDS’ senior vice president of Finance and Administration in 2013. In his current role, Dave oversees NACDS’ financial, information technology and building logistics operations.

Prior to NACDS, Fitzsimmons was the controller for The Word Among Us, and still serves on the board.
