Bartell Drugs preps for upcoming flu season with vaccination program

SEATTLE — Bartell Drugs on Monday announced the launch of a seasonal flu vaccination program, which offers in-store vaccinations at 63 Bartell Drug locations, as well as an off-site flu clinic program that serves area businesses and retirement communities.



Flu shots are available at any time, with no appointment necessary. The seasonal flu vaccine protects against three flu viruses, the company said. Bartell Drugs offers quadrivalent vaccine, which provides protection against an added fourth virus.



The vaccine also is available as a FluMist nasal spray option. Fluzone High-Dose is offered specifically for patients ages 65 years and older. This option contains a higher amount of antigen than regulat flu shots, which creates a better immune response, the company stated.
