Costco sees lift in June sales

ISSAQUAH, Wash. — Costco reported on Thursday a 10% boost in June sales as same-store sales climbed 6%.



Net sales for the month totaled $10.9 billion, an increase of 10% from $9.9 billion in the year-ago period. Both years' five-week periods included 34 selling days in Canada and the United States, reflecting the observance of Canada Day and Independence Day in the United States, respectively.



In the United States, same-store sales rose 6% and total company same-store sales also rose 6% during the month.
