DrSN.TV juggles new videos
NEW YORK www.drugstorenews.com: a man-on-the-street series of interviews around men’s grooming habits and a new recurring segment called the “Drug Store News edition of New Product Juggling.”—DrugStoreNews.TV last month showcased two new videos on
Drug Store News reporters Antoinette Alexander and Allison Cerra hit the streets of Manhattan in search of facial hair, interviewing men about their grooming habits and uncovering which styles—full beards, goatees and moustaches—were most popular.
According to Wahl Clipper Corp., which sponsored the segment, as many as 64 million men nationwide sport facial hair for part of the year. The goatee has become the most popular facial hairstyle, with 25 million men flaunting the style; 17 million men field moustaches and 13 million let it all grow out with a beard.
As part of a separate, recurring segment, DrugStoreNews.TV also launched its own addition of New Product Juggling, a video featuring three new products and juggling, made popular by Drug Store News’ sister publication Home Channel News.
“We’ve always known that readers…want new product information, and we’ve tried a lot of different things with videos,” said Ken Clark, Home Channel News editor-in-chief. Clark, an amateur juggler, is the host of the New Product Juggling segment.
New Product Juggling first was introduced on www.homechannelnews.com, where there are now four installments. “It’s more than just fun; there’s a real educational element to it,” Clark said. “We have to be different. There is so much sameness out there [online]; we wanted something to stand out.”
