Stamford, Conn.-based Henkel embraced the season of giving by announcing their participation in NBC’s Today Show Toy Drive for the sixth consecutive year. The company which includes Dial, Persil, Purex and Snuggle within its portfolio, donated a total of more than $1 million in laundry and beauty care products to a variety of charities across the United States.

Within its six years of participation, Henkel also has donated a cumulative of $3 million in products, the company said.

“Once again this year, we are pleased to donate everyday laundry and beauty care essentials to help ease some of the daily financial pressures the holidays impose on families in need,” Ed Vlacich, region head of Henkel beauty care, said. “We’re hopeful that these donations of household essentials will make life a little easier while helping people look and feel their best, this season and beyond.”

Aside from donating items within their line of products, 5,000 snuggle bears were included within the roster of donations, the company said.

Earlier this year, Henkel announced that it had acquired Zotos International, the North American hair professional business of Shiseido.
