Kmart announces the launch of its prescription savings club

7/13/2009

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. After the successful launch of its Kmart Smart Assist Savings Card, Kmart continues to help consumers with the introduction of its new prescription savings club.

In response to the economic crisis, Kmart has been working to help its customers. In late June, the retailer launched the Kmart Smart Assist Savings Card in its Michigan stores, which offers eligible customers a 20% discount on more than 1,200 regularly priced, private-label grocery and pharmacy products for up to six months.

Continuing the company's efforts, Kmart has recently introduced its new prescription savings club. Eligible members are asked to pay a $10 enrollment fee. In exchange, eligible members receive a $10 Kmart gift card for signing up. Special deals for club members include a gift card of up to $100 with the transfer of four prescriptions.
