SEATTLE — Bartell Drugs isn’t just celebrating its 125th anniversary. The regional player is also celebrating the deployment of its own private-label brand, which is designed to highlight the retailer’s connection to the Puget Sound region, The Seattle Times has reported.
Launched last year, the Emerald & Spruce line focuses on local products and is currently comprised of ice cream, vitamins and dog treats, according to the article.
Created by Seattle-based brand agency Hornall Anderson, the line so far is “performing as we hoped,” Jean Barber Bartell, vice chairman and treasurer of the 63-store chain, was quoted as saying in the article.
