What to expect at 2015 NACDS Total Store Expo

8/17/2015

ARLINGTON, Va. — In five days, more than 5,600 retailers and suppliers will descend on Denver for the 2015 National Association of Chain Drug Stores Total Store Expo. The event, now in its third year, takes place Aug. 22-25, and its exhibit hall space at the Colorado Convention Center sold out last month.

“What makes the NACDS Total Store Expo unique is the personalization that goes into making this a meaningful, compelling and valuable experience that extends well-beyond the four days in Denver,” NACDS President and CEO Steven Anderson said. “The trade show’s innovative nature builds on NACDS’ reputation for providing cutting-edge events that focuses-in on retailers’ and suppliers’ needs. We look forward to a highly successful event.”

Part of the event’s success is in its ability to bring together retailers and suppliers through its programming and events. In particular both its Meet the Market — in which the NACDS arranges 10-minute appointments for exhibitors to display their products to retailers — and Meet the Retailer, where suppliers can hear from retailers about doing business together. Meet the Market takes place Aug. 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Mile High Ballroom, and Meet the Retailers will be on Aug. 22 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in meeting rooms 401 and 403.

Additionally, NACDS TSE will feature an exhibit floor where attendees can see the latest offerings from suppliers in pharmacy, technology, consumer goods and more. There will also be 21 Insight Sessions presented by industry experts, and on Aug. 23, there will be a lineup of speakers addressing attendees at the NACDS TSE Business Program. The event includes will feature a keynote address from journalist and author Tom Brokaw, as well as speeches from NACDS President and CEO Steve Anderson and NACDS board chairman and Hy-Vee chairman and CEO Randy Edeker.

Attendees can get an idea of what’s happening with new products at the Product Showcase, where exhibitors show off their latest products, but attendees can see the products ahead of time online at the NACDS TSE website. Especially forward-looking attendees would also do well to visit the show’s Vision 2026 section at the exhibit hall entrance, which features examples of the next big trends in technology platforms and interactive experiences. Anderson made the case for visiting the Vision 2026 area on Monday.

Ahead of NACDS TSE, attendees can be ready on day one by using NACDS’s website, its mobile app or by watching NACDS TV, all of which feature checklists, planning tools and video tutorials to help make the most of the event.
