Hostess Bakery Petites deliver cleaner ingredients

Hostess is answering consumers demand for poppable snacks with cleaner ingredients by introducing the new Bakery Petites.

“With the tremendous growth in bite-sized treats in the confectionery category, we saw a huge opportunity to innovate with a new premium line that strategically enhances our reach and incrementality,” Andy Jacobs, EVP and chief operating officer at Hostess Brands, said. “Premium priced snacks are growing and Hostess Bakery Petites — with their cleaner ingredient profile and modern packaging — deliver on that indulgent and upscale snacking experience consumers are seeking.”

Designed with such ingredients as real chocolate, vanilla and raspberries, the Hostess Bakery Petites come in three varieties that include:

  • Bakery Petites cake delights, which contain crème filled cake balls in double chocolate and vanilla fudge, soft cake, a fudge coating and sprinkles;

  • Bakery Petites brownie delights, which feature mini fudge brownies in a chocolate chunk and chocolate raspberry; and

  • Bakery Petites crispi thin, which contains a thin and crispy cookie in fudge blondie and chocolate brownie.


The Kansas City, M.O.-based company’s new snacks contain no artificial flavors, colors or high fructose corn syrup. It also comes in a resealable, stand-up pouch that keeps snacks fresher longer and provides consumers with more portion control, the company said.

Hostess’ Bakery Petites are now available for purchase at retailers nationwide.
