Oikos packs protein in new dairy products

1/15/2021

Oikos has found a way to add more protein into its dairy products.

The brand is launching a new line of products — Oikos Pro — that feature protein and calcium.

“Last year the world of fitness experienced unique challenges and changes, and we appreciate the value people are placing on health and nutrition headed into 2021,” Surbhi Martin, vice president of marketing at Danone North America, said. “Oikos Pro set out to deliver a new collection of post-workout dairy snacks for fitness fans that are far from boring with high-quality protein, different formats and flavors. We wanted to create this line to help people support strong muscles — no matter what they're up against.”

One of the first new launches in the line are the dairy cups, which contain 20 g of protein per 5.3-oz. serving and come in five flavors — vanilla, strawberry, mixed berry, peach and plain.

The line’s dairy drinks, which have 25 g of protein per 10-fl.-oz. serving, are available in four options — strawberry banana, mixed berry, caramel macchiato and coffee.

The complete Oikos Pro line is now available in the dairy aisle of grocery stores and retailers nationwide, with the snack cups retailing for $1.59 and the dairy drinks for $2.49.
