Halo oral antiseptic spray named 'Best Product' at ECRM cough-cold event

3/1/2012

LAS VEGAS — Oasis Consumer Healthcare's Halo oral antiseptic on Wednesday evening received Best Product honors from ECRM for the 2012 Cough & Cold and Allergy EPPS conference.

Shipping in July, Halo contains cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) in a patented formula that helps coat the back of the throat for up to six hours and helps to protect against airborne germs. According to company research, the recycled air in 67% of airplanes contain enough germs to get a person sick after a short flight.

Suggested retail price for Halo is $12.99 and will be merchandised alongside immunity system boosters in the cough-cold aisle. The company is launching two adult SKUs — a berry flavor and citrus flavor — alongside one grape-flavored spray indicated for children older than age 2.

ECRM's Best Product, sponsored by DSN, is voted on by retailer attendees who identify the most interesting product they've seen in the first three days of the four-day event.
