The Center for Health Value Innovation supports National Diabetes Goal

8/26/2009

ST. LOUIS A group of organizations are collaborating to increase awareness and improve management of Type 2 diabetes among the 45% of Americans at risk of developing the disease.

The Center for Health Value Innovation announced Monday that it had joined other nonprofits, healthcare provider groups, universities, government officials and corporations to support the National Diabetes Goal, introduced last year by the National Changing Diabetes Project, which calls for at-risk Americans to know their blood glucose levels and what actions to take by the year 2015.

“We are proud to support the NDG and share its emphasis to improve the lives of people affected by diabetes,” Center for Health Value Innovation CEO Cyndy Nayer said in a statement. “The center’s focus on value-based design and its pro-active initiatives for sustainable health and financial improvement align with the NDG mission.”
