Congress grants HHS funds to fight healthcare fraud
WASHINGTON The Department of Health and Human Services will get a funding increase of $250 million to fight healthcare fraud, according to published reports.
Bloomberg reported that Congress was set to vote in favor of giving HHS $1.7 million to fight criminal organizations that defraud Medicare.
The news organization reported that companies likely to benefit from the increase in funding included health insurers and companies that provide antifraud technology, such as McKesson Corp.
