‘Diabetes and Me’ set to air in September on NET
LINCOLN, Neb. An educational television station will air a special show about living with Type 1 diabetes.
Nebraska Educational Television announced Tuesday that it would broadcast the program “Diabetes and Me” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, and again at 1 p.m. Sunday, 8 p.m. Sept. 17 and 2 p.m. Sept. 20, produced by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
The show features people with Type 1, or juvenile-onset diabetes such as Kansas State University student Robert Kreikemeier, who discuses his experiences with the disease before an audience of young people and their parents.
The American Diabetes Association estimates that 23.6 million Americans have Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
