FDA approves HIV generic
MUMBAI, India The Food and Drug Administration has granted tentative approval to Cipla Limited's lopinavir /ritonavir, a generic version of Abbott Labs' Kaletra, to treat HIV. The tablets were approved in the 200-mg/50-mg strength, according to the FDA Web site.
Kaletra had sales of $111 million for the first six months of this year, according to Abbott.
