FTC requests more information on Watson acquisition of Arrow Group

MORRISTOWN, N.J. A generic drug maker seeking to acquire another company has received a request from the government for more information.

The Federal Trade Commission requested additional information related to Watson Pharmaceuticals’ pending acquisition of Arrow Group, a private company, under the Hart.Scott.Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, Watson announced Thursday.

Watson responded that it will comply with the FTC’s request, and the company expects the acquisition to be complete in the second half of this year.
