Horowitz tapped to be FDA’s assistant commissioner for policy
WASHINGTON A former manager at the Food and Drug Administration’s Office of Regulatory Affairs has been named the FDA’s assistant commissioner for policy.
David Horowitz served as assistant commissioner for compliance policy in the ORA, where he developed risk-based approaches to compliance and enforcement activities. He also helped develop the FDA’s policy on import safety and was director, associate chief counsel for enforcement and associate chief counsel for drugs at the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research’s Office of Compliance, also an FDA division.
