J&J names new head of surgical care group

NEW YORK Johnson & Johnson has appointed the leader of its surgical care group as chairwoman of its pharmaceutical group.

Sheri McCoy will assume her position Jan. 1, replacing Christine Poon, who will step down in March of next year.

McCoy began at J&J as an associate scientist in research and development for the company’s personal-care products department. Most recently, she led J&J’s medical devices and diagnostics unit in Latin America.
