Mayne names operations VP, general manager for its Greenville facility
Metrics Contract Services, a division of Mayne Pharma, announced that Troy Woelfel has joined the company as vice president of operations and general manager of Mayne Pharma Greenville operations.
Metrics also has added more than 20 analytical chemists and formulation scientists.
As a member of the senior leadership team, Woelfel will focus on further advancing the performance of the significantly expanded Greenville operations following completion of the $80-million oral solid-dose commercial manufacturing facility in 2018. He has more than 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in proprietary and CDMO operations, supply chain, engineering and maintenance.
“Troy has a proven track record of success in improving quality outcomes, building teams and culture, and overseeing significant expansion in complex operating environments. Metrics is seeing a significant increase in new projects and commercial demand, and expansion of the scientific team of formulators and chemists will support this growth. This expansion will enhance the team's responsiveness, internal analytical capabilities and capacity, and support Metrics' rigorous scientific approach and specialized knowledge," Mayne Pharma president John Ross said.
Woelfel has held management positions at Teligent, Pfizer/Hospira and Novo Nordisk. He holds a Six Sigma master black belt, and served as a Naval Flight Officer in multiple deployments throughout the world. Woelfel is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, where he studied aerospace engineering. He also holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
