NACDS commends senator for ensuring access of generic medications for epilepsy patients
ALEXANDRIA, Va. An organization catering to the retail pharmacy industry commended a U.S. senator for helping to ensure access to effective and affordable generic antiepileptic medication drugs for epilepsy patients.
In a letter to Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D., the National Association of Chain Drug Stores explained that the generic dispensing rate at retail pharmacies - 65%– higher than any other retail setting.
“Generic drug utilization saves patients and payers billions of dollars each year,” the letter states. “Chain pharmacy is committed to providing affordable healthcare solutions for the American public.”
