GOLDEN, Colo. — PharmaJet, which manufactures a needle-free injection technology, announced recently that it had formed a partnership with FFF enterprises to offer needle-free flu shots this year. FFF is offering the company’s PharmaJet Stratis system to its 30,000 healthcare customers.
“In today’s competitive healthcare environment, patients want choices and offering needle-free flu shots can attract new customers and differentiate a business,” PharmaJet chairman and CEO Ron Lowry said. “Our research shows that nearly half of healthcare providers reported that the PharmaJet needle-free option could increase immunization rates by 10 percent or more.”
The PharmaJet Stratis system works by delivering a vaccine with a narrow fluid stream injection that can penetrate the skin in about one-tenth of a second. The injector device is spring-operated and doesn’t use a power source, the company said.
