QS/1 partners with American Associated Pharmacies

7/14/2015

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — QS/1, a healthcare automation solutions provider, is partnering with American Associated Pharmacies to help community pharmacies compete with larger pharmacies.

“In a changing healthcare environment, smaller pharmacies often find themselves unable to compete with the bigger chains,” Amy Long, QS/1 market analyst manager, said. “This partnership with AAP will help QS/1’s pharmacy customers compete on a larger level.”

AAP will help analyze pharmacy data and consult community pharmacies on how to achieve five-star performance levels in customer service and patient care.

“With this partnership, QS/1 customers who are part of American Associated Pharmacies will gain access to a whole suite of profit maximizing services,” United Drugs President Rob McMahan said.

AAP will also help pharmacies collect payments from third parties.

“ClaimGuard will automatically submit and track MAC [Medicare Appeals Council] appeals for most PBMs [pharmacy benefit managers] to take the burden off of the pharmacy staff,” McMahan said.
