QuickChek celebrates golden anniversary

2/21/2017

WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. — QuickChek, operator of 10 New Jersey pharmacies, is celebrating its 50th anniversary with 10 weeks of special offers that began on Feb. 20.  Deals and savings include free coffee and fountain drinks to buy-one-get-one offers from QuickChek's menu of breakfast sandwiches, handcrafted subs and smoothies to freshly-made hot snacks and packaged goods.

In 1967, Carlton C. Durling founded QuickChek to ensure that loyal Durling Farms customers had a neighborhood shopping destination not only for their milk but for a full range of deli and other food products.

“Guided by the principles of Total Customer Dedication, we are committed to delivering what the customer wants,” the company stated. “Continuing to define the term ‘fresh convenience,’ QuickChek remains the market leader by providing one-stop shopping, offering value and a wide variety of grocery and market items to meet your needs.”

"We are thrilled to celebrate 50 years of meeting the needs of our customers," said QuickChek CEO Dean Durling. "While we opened the very first QuickChek store on March 15, 1967, we feel our customers deserve more than a one-day celebration."

The QuickChek story dates back much further — to 1888 — when Durling Farms was founded to serve the central New Jersey region.
