10/14/2008

NEW YORK The Bradenton, Fla., Herald reported on the growth of retail clinics, noting that more large retailers are setting up the clinics in response to declining sales.

Publix, a supermarket chain that operates 952 stores in the South, has contracted with The Little Clinic, which operates 36 clinics throughout Florida. According to the Convenient Care Association, retailers operate more than 1,000 in-store clinics throughout the United States.

Over the past 15 months, Walgreens and CVS Pharmacy have opened 700 in-store clinics across the United States.
