Rite Aid names RediClinic CEO Web Golinkin to additional role as CEO of Health Dialog

CAMP HILL, Pa. — Rite Aid on Thursday announced that RediClinic CEO Web Golinkin will assume additional responsibilities as the CEO of Health Dialog. In addition, Rite Aid’s group VP pharmacy initiatives and clinical services Karen Staniforth has been promoted to the role of COO at Health Dialog. 


 


As CEO of Health Dialog, Golinkin will lead the development of Health Dialog’s business strategy. In her new role, Staniforth who will report directly to Golinkin, will execute Health Dialog’s business strategy and oversee day-to-day business operations. Golinkin will continue reporting to Robert Thompson, Rite Aid’s EVP pharmacy. Both appointments are effective immediately.

Golinkin, who will continue to serve as CEO of RediClinic, is a proven healthcare entrepreneur who has started and successfully run three health-related companies during the past 25 years, including RediClinic since 2001. He also co-founded American Medical Communications, which became one of the nation’s largest producers and distributors of health-related television and video programming, and America’s Health Network, which became the nation’s largest health-related cable television network, with one of the most popular health-related websites. A graduate of Harvard University, Golinkin is the current president of the Convenient Care Association.


 


Staniforth started her career in pharmacy as a pharmacist in Johannesburg, South Africa. She later joined Sandoz — now a part of Novartis Pharmaceuticals — overseeing retail sales operations for the company in Cape Town, South Africa. She subsequently joined Rite Aid after moving to the United States. She has continued to take on roles of increasing leadership and operating responsibility, including regional pharmacy VP, division pharmacy vp and most recently, group VP of pharmacy initiatives and clinical services. She is a pharmacy graduate of Witwatersrand Technikon, Johannesburg, South Africa.


 


“An experienced and talented operator, Karen has made countless contributions to our company since joining Rite Aid in 1998,” said Thompson. “Her knowledge and experience of retail pharmacy and clinical services coupled with her strong business acumen will be instrumental as she works with Web to expand Health Dialog’s portfolio of clients and scope of services.”


 


Golinkin succeeds Robert Mandel, who has resigned to pursue other interests.
