10/6/2008

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. Rite Aid has announced the opening of a new, expanded “Customer World” store on Warfield Boulevard, in Clarksville, Tenn.

The company said that it is trying out the “Customer World” prototype, which emphasizes face-to-face interaction with the pharmacist, and features a beefed-up merchandise section with GNC supplement center, one-hour photo department, centrally-located beauty department, and improved navigation throughout the store, because those things were noted by customers in focus groups conducted nationwide as priorities.

Rite Aid has said that it plans to open 85 new and relocated stores company-wide this year.
