Roche plans expansion of Ventana, more job openings

TUCSON, Ariz. Swiss drug giant Roche plans to make big investments in an Oro Valley, Ariz., drug company it acquired earlier this year.

The company will expand Ventana Medical Systems work force by about 250 in the next year and expand its research and development operations.

Roche’s investments in the diagnostics company will be worth $100 million.
