Teva launches enlarged prostate, hypertension generic
NORTH WALES, Pa. A generic drug company has introduced its version of a drug used to treat enlarged prostate and hypertension.
Teva Pharmacueticals announced Tuesday the introduction of terazosin hydrochloride capsules in the 1-mg, 2-mg, 5-mg and 10-mg strengths.
The drug is a generic version of Abbott’s Hytrin. Teva is the sixth company to win approval for a generic version of the drug, according to FDA records.
