Two generic versions of epileptic treatment launched
DETROIT Two companies have launched generic versions of an epilepsy treatment by Johnson & Johnson.
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries and Caraco Pharmaceutical Labs announced this week that they had launched generic versions of Topamax (topiramate) in the 25-mg, 50-mg, 100-mg and 200-mg strengths.
These strengths of topiramate had sales of about $2.3 billion in 2008, according to IMS Health data.
