Variant launches new 7-Day Pushbutton VitaCarry pill cases

ROCHESTER, N.Y. A company based in Rochester, N.Y., is launching a new type of pill case in retail stores across the United States and Canada.

Variant Products announced Monday that its 7-Day Pushbutton VitaCarry cases will be sold at retailers across the country, and are also available for purchase from Variant’s Web site, www.variantproducts.com, for $9.99.

The case has a row of large buttons marked according to days of the week that control small drawers designed to hold multiple pills. The company said the cases are made with food-grade plastics and stainless steel.

Variant said on its Web site that the cases, which also carry a safety lock, are good for use while traveling. According to a statement by the company, the cases won the 2008 Best of Rochester Award in the Industrial Designers category from the U.S. Local Business Association.
